How it works
A straightforward path from app to authenticated user.
Connect your backend to Outhly with SDKs and APIs, while keeping your application's user experience in your control.
Four steps to get moving.
The exact routes and features available depend on your deployed Outhly API version. Follow the documentation for the contract your backend supports.
Read the SDK docsStep 01
Create an application
Set up an application in your Outhly workspace and obtain the credentials needed for server-side requests.
Step 02
Install the SDK
Choose the SDK that fits your backend: JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or Python. Keep the secret key in a server-only environment variable.
Step 03
Call the API
Use the SDK from your trusted backend to register users and connect Outhly to your application workflow.
Step 04
Build your product experience
Integrate the supported authentication capabilities into your app, and validate each flow against your actual backend configuration.
A note about secret keys
Treat application secret keys as server credentials. Do not put them in public environment variables, frontend bundles, source control, or client-side applications. Rotate exposed credentials promptly.
